The 17^th International Congress of Toxicology（ICT-XVII） will be held by CST in 2025, in Beijing, China

A delegation of 26 representatives, organized by the Chinese Society of Toxicology (CST), have attended the 15^th International Congress of Toxicology held at the Hawaii Convention Center, Hawaii, USA, from July 15 to18, 2019. CST delegation was led by Dr. Xiang-jun HU, Deputy Secretary General of the CST.

The International Congress of Toxicology (ICT), organized by the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX), is the most prestigious and influential International Congress on Toxicology, which is held every three years. The theme of ICT-XV is “Toxicology Solutions for Global Public, Environmental, and Personal Health”. The attractive scientific program and a broad of topics of congress sessions, with substantial frontier and latest research progress of toxicological science and technology, have given a deep impression to the delegates.

At the General Assembly Meeting of IUTOX Council on September 17, 2019, Professor Yue-pu PU, Vice president of CST, on behalf of the CST, made presented the report of CST’s bid for hosting the 17^th International Congress of Toxicology (ICT-XVII) 2025, and answered questions and concerns about the organization of ICT-XVII by the council members. Through the voting, the CST obtained the opportunity to host the 17^th International Congress of Toxicology. CST proposed to hold the ICT-XVII in October 2025, in Beijing, China.

During ICT-XV, CST has set up its exhibition platform to display the nature, development of Chinese Society of Toxicology, CST’s contributions to the international academic community and public health, and the academic achievements in the field of toxicology in China recent years. The participation of CST delegation has further deepened connections between Chinese toxicologists and the international organizers and counterparts.
